Reno Sisters Face Insurance Loss and Fire Aftermath in High-Risk Zone

In July, two Reno sisters, Susanne and Clarisse Robert, lost their home to a fire in a high-risk fire zone and found that their homeowners insurance had been canceled a month earlier due to the location's fire risk. Currently residing in an uninsulated cabin without running water or electricity on the same property, they face significant challenges rebuilding their lives and home.

Several local businesses, including United Nissan Reno, Dollar Loan Center, and Carson Mattress Outlet, contributed $3,500, mattresses, and bed frames to improve their immediate living conditions. The sisters plan to spend the donations on essential supplies, including insulation and a solar generator to restore power and water access.

Their situation has drawn broader community support, with a GoFundMe campaign raising an additional $5,000. This case highlights insurance coverage implications in wildfire-prone areas and the challenges homeowners face rebuilding after disaster without coverage.
