EV Auto Partners with Amazon Autos for Enhanced Vehicle Sales
EV Auto, a pre-owned electric vehicle dealership, has joined Amazon Autos, marking a notable expansion of its market presence. Alex Lawrence, CEO and co-founder of EV Auto, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing the alignment of their customer service objectives with Amazon's renowned customer experience. "We are really grateful they believe in EV Auto and that our customer experience is aligned," Lawrence stated to Auto Remarketing.
Starting this week, customers can browse the entire inventory of EV Auto on Amazon Autos. Vehicles are available for nationwide shipping or in-store pickup at EV Auto locations. Lawrence anticipates steady growth rather than rapid sales as they continue to broaden their reach.
EV Auto's move to Amazon Autos is a strategic approach to accessing consumers who prefer online shopping, further diversifying their sales channels. Additionally, the dealership is close to enabling complete online purchases through its own platform. Lawrence emphasized, "You can buy a car live from me on TikTok. And now you can go to Amazon. And in all of these places, you will have the EV Auto experience and be able to work with us."
Every purchase through Amazon Autos triggers a customer notification, providing an opportunity for EV Auto to offer additional products such as chargers or extended warranties. Lawrence confirmed there is a fee per store for the Amazon partnership and a percentage taken from back-end sales, but he remains optimistic about future product offerings on the platform. Additionally, Amazon Autos could drive indirect traffic to EV Auto's physical locations, enhancing overall business opportunities.
In other developments, EV Auto's Brentwood, Tennessee location will feature Tesla Superchargers, making it the first non-Tesla dealership to do so. This initiative is part of EV Supercharging, a subsidiary under The EV Group, which Lawrence leads. The partnership with Tesla involves EV Supercharging handling capital investment and infrastructure, while Tesla oversees maintenance and operations.
Currently, 18-20 charging locations are under development, branded with EV Auto's signage, and offering QR codes for services and warranties, as well as optional detailing. Select locations will be adjacent to food establishments like In-N-Out, enhancing customer convenience. Lawrence mentioned further expansion plans for EV Auto, including properties in Las Vegas and potential developments in Dallas within upcoming quarters. The EV Group also incorporates businesses such as EV Warranties, EV Acquisitions, and EV Service, aiming for a comprehensive approach to the electric vehicle lifecycle. With the Amazon Autos collaboration, EV Auto takes a significant step toward becoming an all-encompassing service provider for electric vehicle consumers.
