Homeowners Data Call Task Force Advances Nationwide Insurance Reporting Updates
The Homeowners Market Data Call (C) Task Force is advancing the development of a national data reporting framework to enhance regulatory oversight of the U.S. homeowners insurance market. At its recent public meeting, the Task Force discussed proposed updates to the Data Call template aimed at improving data quality and aiding regulators in assessing coverage design, affordability, availability, and catastrophe exposure trends. These updates include more granular policy-type reporting, refined premium and policy counts, enhanced tracking of canceled policies, and clarified claims and loss definitions aligned by peril type.
