Guidewire to Acquire ProNavigator to Enhance P&C Insurance Knowledge Management
Guidewire has agreed to acquire ProNavigator, a knowledge management platform focused on the property and casualty (P&C) insurance sector.
The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. ProNavigator's technology integrates best practice information into insurance workflows, aiding in claims, underwriting, and distribution processes by capturing and providing access to institutional knowledge.
ProNavigator currently serves 34 insurers and helps to improve operational efficiency by shortening claim cycle times, enhancing customer service, and speeding the onboarding of new employees. Guidewire plans to integrate ProNavigator’s intelligence capabilities into its own platform, enhancing search functions and contextual knowledge retrieval for various insurance professionals including underwriters, claims adjusters, brokers, and customer service representatives.
The platform's architecture supports both personal and commercial insurance lines, complementing Guidewire's existing services in underwriting, policy management, and claims handling. This integration aims to provide insurance professionals with timely access to relevant information, supporting more informed decision-making.
The acquisition is expected to close in Guidewire’s second quarter of fiscal year 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. Concurrently, Guidewire introduced PricingCenter, a new product designed to streamline pricing adjustments for P&C insurers, targeting actuaries, pricing teams, and IT developers.
Guidewire is also making significant investments in the Japanese insurance market, with plans to invest $60 million over five years to enhance product and service delivery to insurers in Japan. This acquisition and product expansion underline Guidewire's commitment to advancing technology solutions for the P&C insurance industry.
