Resolution Life Names Jeff Davies CFO to Drive Strategic Financial Growth

Resolution Life, a global life insurance group specializing in reinsurance and managing life insurance portfolios, has appointed Jeff Davies as Chief Financial Officer, effective March 2026.

Davies will lead the company’s financial and investment activities, corporate development, and strategy, reporting directly to Chairman and CEO Clive Cowdery. Jonathan Moss, previously CFO, will transition to the role of Chief Technical Officer, focusing on underwriting and risk management across U.S. and international markets. Davies comes to Resolution Life with over 30 years of industry experience, most recently serving as Group CFO at Legal & General and previously holding senior roles at Ernst & Young and Swiss Re Life & Health. His background spans actuarial science, risk management, investments, and mergers and acquisitions, aligning with Resolution Life’s growth objectives.

Leadership at Resolution Life emphasized Davies’s multi-faceted financial expertise as a key asset for the company as it expands and integrates more closely with Nippon Life Group.
