Caddo Parish Deputy Arrested for Alleged Auto Insurance Fraud

A Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office deputy, Frank Launer III, was arrested for alleged auto insurance fraud after an incident involving his uninsured vehicle. Following a car accident in April, Launer reportedly obtained insurance coverage after the crash and then filed a claim for the accident. The Louisiana State Police, aided by information from the Louisiana Department of Insurance, began investigating in May leading to his arrest on August 11. The local sheriff's office has expressed support for the ongoing investigation and has stated it does not condone the alleged actions.
