Updated guidance for health plans mandates an enhanced technical format for data disclosure to reduce duplicative and unclear pricing information. Additionally, CMS released new instructions requiring hospitals to publish actual service prices rather than estimates to strengthen Hospital Price Transparency rules, accompanied by its own RFI to enhance compliance and data accuracy.
