Leadership Changes in Insurance: Key Appointments and Transitions

Peter Zaffino, the former CEO and executive chair of American International Group (AIG), has transitioned from his role at AIG to join Palantir Technologies Inc. as the global head of financial services.

This move marks a significant shift in Zaffino's career, as he leaves a prominent position in one of the world's largest insurance organizations to embrace new challenges in technology and data analytics. Zaffino's resignation from the AIG board was effective September 15. Following his departure, John Rice steps in as the chair of AIG's board, while Eric Andersen, who was previously with Aon, took over as AIG's CEO earlier this year.
