According to the report, the national effective approved rate for homeowners insurance has decreased from approximately 13.6% in 2024 to about 6.3% in 2025, reaching around 1.8% by July 2026. This declining trend suggests that insurers, having primarily realigned their rates at a national level, are now focusing on adjustments specific to jurisdictions, peril mixtures, and regulatory timing. Despite the overall rate reduction, high-loss exposure areas are witnessing increased rates due to the impact of prior rate changes, allowing insurers to pause further increases temporarily.
