Miller Appoints Kim Plant Head of North American Property Operations
Miller has appointed Kim Plant as the new head of its North American property operations. Transitioning from Amwins, where he served as a director in the North American property division since 2020, Plant brings extensive experience across the United States and Canadian property markets. His insurance career began with Lockton in 2015 after serving in the British Army’s Grenadier Guards.
At Miller, Plant will lead the North American property strategy from both London and Bermuda. He will collaborate with Matthew Keeping, Managing Director and Head of Property and Casualty, to enhance long-term client partnerships in the region. This strategic appointment is part of Miller's plan to expand its North American wholesale operations, following the January 2026 addition of Paul Jenkins as a senior director within the US property team.
Strengthening Client Partnerships
Matthew Keeping expressed enthusiasm about Plant's appointment, stating: "We’re delighted to welcome Kim aboard at this significant juncture in the buildout of our North American Property offering." He highlighted the company's rapid growth over the past three years and the potential to continue expanding through specialized services and a focus on service excellence.
Kim Plant expressed excitement about joining Miller, emphasizing the firm's commitment to client service and its reputation for specialty at scale. He noted that despite challenges such as downward rate pressures and increased competition, Miller is well-positioned to grow its market share in the region.
