Debevoise & Plimpton LLP Elevates New Partners in Insurance Sector
Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is poised to elevate several lawyers to partnership status, effective July 1. In the New York office, Megan Arrogante and Matthew Parelman will join the ranks as partners. Arrogante is part of the Financial Institutions and Insurance Groups, specializing in complex corporate and transactional issues within the insurance sector, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as reinsurance transactions. Her prior experience as in-house counsel at TruStage (formerly CUNA Mutual Group) adds depth to her expertise.
Parelman, also in New York, contributes to the Insurance and Financial Institutions Groups with a focus on diverse insurance industry transactions. His proficiency includes mergers and acquisitions, pension risk transfers, and reinsurance. His educational background is impressive, with a J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School.
In the London office, new partners include Fatema Al-Arayedh, Tom Berry, Felix Paterson, and Konstantin Bureiko. Al-Arayedh and Berry are part of the Investment Management Group, advising on fund formation and transactions, especially for private fund sponsors. Paterson specializes in financing solutions for borrowers and lenders, while Bureiko leads the European sanctions advisory practice, providing counsel on EU and UK trade sanctions.
Additional new partners, including Jake Grandison, Anne-Mette Heemsoth, Anne-Lise Quach, Aseel Rabie, Sergio Torres, Dominique Trudelle, Wendy Widman, Chen Xu, and Guang Yang, span the firm's global offices.
