Celebrate Older Americans Month: Join the CHQ Aging Expo 2026 in NY

Each May, communities in the United States observe Older Americans Month, established in 1963 to honor the contributions of older adults. The 2026 theme, "Champion Your Health," driven by the Administration for Community Living, emphasizes the importance of health maintenance, wellness, and preventive care for older populations.

In Chautauqua County, the month will be celebrated with the 2nd Annual CHQ Aging Expo & Conference on May 21, 2026, from 10 AM to 2 PM at SUNY Fredonia. This event serves as a platform for older adults, caregivers, industry professionals, and community collaborators to engage in meaningful networking and discussions.

The agenda includes 24 educational sessions covering essential topics such as Medicare, fraud prevention, cognitive health, estate planning, fall prevention, and chronic disease management. These sessions aim to provide valuable insights, and attendees are encouraged to register in advance due to limited seating.

The CHQ Aging Expo underscores the commitment to creating an environment where older residents can live independently and with dignity. This event supports healthy aging and bolsters community connections.
