Ascendri Insurance Launches Homeowner Solutions in California
Ascendri Insurance Services has launched new homeowner insurance solutions in California, providing coverage of up to $10 million per property. This innovative managing general agency (MGA) combines experienced underwriting with advanced technology to assess each home's unique risk profile. Ascendri offers these products through rated carriers, partnering with licensed agents and wholesalers, including Acrisure and Wholesure.
Denese Ross, Managing Director of Ascendri, emphasized, “This insurance product was developed in collaboration with California insurance agents to address the needs of complex and high-value properties. Our goal is to deliver effective protection at competitive rates by evaluating each property independently.”
The founding of Ascendri received backing from Acrisure, a leading global fintech firm. Recently, Acrisure also acquired Vave, an MGA specializing in properties with catastrophic risks. Ascendri focuses on underwriting properties valued between $3.7 million and $10 million, while Vave targets lower-valued properties. Vave operates nationwide, and Ascendri plans to expand its services to additional states by 2027.
Homeowners in disaster-prone areas have seen rising insurance premiums, often limited to government-sponsored programs. Matt Schweinzger, President of North America Insurance at Acrisure, remarked, “Ascendri is the result of extensive collaboration between agents and underwriters in California, aimed at enhancing the limited choices available in the market.”
Adrian Jones, Head of Underwriting & Specialties at Acrisure, added, “With Ascendri, we offer coverage solutions up to $10 million per home, complementing Vave’s offerings. These efforts illustrate Acrisure’s commitment to tackling challenges in California’s insurance market.” For more details about Ascendri, visit their official website.
