Walid Samy Appointed Managing Director of AXA Life Insurance Egypt

AXA Egypt has appointed Walid Samy as the Managing Director of AXA Life Insurance Egypt, pending approval from the Financial Regulatory Authority. This strategic decision underscores the company's objective to foster leadership development and support sustainable growth initiatives in the Egyptian insurance market.

Walid Samy brings over two decades of experience in individual insurance products, with an extensive background in business development, team leadership, and driving long-term growth. At AXA, he has served as Managing Director of AXA Services and Retail CEO, managing operations such as retail products, underwriting, marketing, and distribution. Samy was instrumental in expanding growth across various channels and implementing key strategic initiatives.

Before his tenure at AXA, Samy held leadership positions including General Manager in the insurance sector and Regional Retail Products Director, focused on savings, pensions, and enhancing bancassurance frameworks. AXA Egypt's CEO, Minoush Abdelmeguid, expressed confidence in Samy's appointment as a pivotal move towards achieving the integrated ONE AXA vision by advancing comprehensive insurance and healthcare solutions.
