Nepal Insurance Authority Focuses on Agriculture and Livestock Insurance Expansion

The Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) conducted a meeting with branch office leaders of insurance companies in Siraha to address current insurance sector issues. The NEA Director emphasized compliance with the Insurance Act and urged coordination with provincial offices to expand insurance outreach, particularly focusing on agriculture and livestock insurance. Participants highlighted the need for research and development, employee training, awareness campaigns in border areas, promotion of agricultural insurance, and efficient use of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds at the provincial level.
