Michigan has set a December 15, 2025 deadline for residents to enroll in Health Insurance Marketplace plans that will be effective starting January 1, 2026. While open enrollment continues until January 15, 2026, any enrollments made after December 15 will take effect on February 1, 2026, potentially delaying coverage. The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) highlights the availability of 116 Marketplace health plans and a total of 191 plans in the individual market, including off-Marketplace options, during the open enrollment period beginning November 1, 2025.
