AAA Implements Multiple Auto and Home Insurance Rate Cuts in Florida
The American Automobile Association (AAA) has implemented multiple rate reductions for Florida auto and home insurance policyholders in 2025, resulting in over $70 million in annual statewide savings.
Specifically, auto insurance premiums have decreased by more than 15%, and home insurance premiums by 5%. Additionally, AAA has proposed a fourth rate reduction filing for Florida auto insurance, potentially effective in early 2026, aligning with similar actions by Progressive and State Farm to lower auto insurance rates in the state.
AAA's rate adjustments reflect improving predictability in Florida's insurance claims environment, enabling the passing of cost savings to policyholders. The insurer operates in Florida through two legal entities, Auto Club South Insurance Company and Auto Club Insurance Company of Florida, serving AAA members with auto and home insurance products. The Auto Club Group is a large AAA club with substantial membership across multiple states.
