Guardian and PrismHR Launch APIs to Modernize PEO Benefits Administration
The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America has partnered with PrismHR to launch two new API connections, marking Guardian as the first benefits carrier to offer an API through PrismHR's platform.
These APIs are designed to streamline benefits administration for Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), enabling real-time data synchronization that facilitates seamless employee enrollment and benefits utilization. This integration supports a more efficient and accurate management of worksite employee benefits, reducing complexity and administrative burdens for PEOs.
According to data, 89% of PEO members using APIs have experienced measurable efficiency improvements, while over 75% of employees engaged in digital benefits enrollment report higher satisfaction levels. Additionally, digital benefits processes contribute to a stronger perception among employees that their employers value their well-being, with 53% of digitally enrolled employees expressing this compared to 38% with paper-based systems.
Guardian's Head of Digital Strategy and Offerings highlighted the growing complexity of managing worksite employee benefits and emphasized that this partnership is aimed at saving PEO clients substantial processing time and enhancing data accuracy. This allows PEOs to better support employees in utilizing their benefits effectively. PrismHR's Chief Benefits Officer also noted that the collaboration addresses specific challenges faced by PEOs, leveraging innovative technology to optimize benefits administration.
These new APIs complement Guardian Access™, Guardian's existing suite of API connection offerings, reinforcing Guardian's strategic commitment to advancing benefits technology. The partnership with PrismHR aligns with Guardian's focus on improving operational efficiencies for business clients and enhancing the overall employee benefits experience. This initiative reflects broader industry trends toward digital transformation in benefits administration, emphasizing automation, accuracy, and user satisfaction.
