HealthSpring Launches Diverse Medicare Plans for 2026

HealthSpring is launching a new brand for its Medicare offerings in 2026 following its acquisition by Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC).

The brand will serve customers in 29 states and the District of Columbia with a diverse portfolio of Medicare Advantage (MA) plans, Medicare Supplement plans, and standalone Prescription Drug Plans (PDP). HealthSpring's MA plans include options such as HMOs, PPOs, Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (DSNP), and Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans (CSNP), designed to cater to various health conditions and eligibility criteria.

The MA plans provide enhanced benefits beyond original Medicare, including routine vision and hearing coverage, dental benefits in most plans, and no-cost fitness programs.

Additional services feature home-delivered meals post-hospitalization, virtual urgent care options, transportation assistance, and support programs for caregivers. These plans also offer financial incentives to encourage preventive health activities, with up to $500 rewards available through Special Needs Plans.

HealthSpring is expanding its Chronic Condition Special Needs Plans to 46 counties, targeting individuals with diabetes, chronic heart failure, and certain cardiovascular conditions, including allowances for healthy groceries. Medicare Supplement plans are offered in 48 states plus DC, often with premium discounts and companion coverage options like dental, hospital indemnity, and short-term care.

The standalone PDPs cover most states and Puerto Rico, providing plans with flexible coverage options. Some come with $0 copay medications through preferred home delivery. HealthSpring’s new brand builds on its legacy reputation for customer service and aims to meet the diverse needs of Medicare-eligible populations.

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15 to December 7, with most plan coverages effective January 1, 2026. More information and plan details are accessible through HealthSpring’s website and licensed agents. The launch of HealthSpring represents HCSC’s strategic expansion into Medicare markets with a comprehensive plan offering that emphasizes accessibility, preventive care incentives, and chronic condition support.
