Louisiana Shifts Pharmacy Benefit Management Away from CVS Caremark for 2026

Louisiana’s Office of Group Benefits is reducing its dependency on CVS Caremark as the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) for state employees. Starting in 2026, Liviniti will manage the commercial plan, while SilverScript Insurance Co., both affiliates of CVS Health, will cover Medicare Part D and the employer group waiver plan under emergency contracts.
