Marco Capital Acquires Benteler Reinsurance to Expand P&C Run-Off Portfolio

Marco Capital, a European property and casualty insurance run-off specialist, has acquired Benteler Reinsurance Company DAC, a captive reinsurer owned by the Benteler Group. This transaction aims to streamline the Benteler Group's insurance structure by divesting a non-core entity. The acquisition aligns with Marco Capital's strategy to acquire run-off entities that clients consider non-essential to their core operations. Prior to this, in June 2025, Marco Capital acquired R&Q Gamma Company Limited, formerly known as The Royal London General Insurance Company Ltd, which has been in run-off since 1999.
