AXA XL Boosts Americas Wholesale Solutions with Key Leadership Hires

AXA XL, the property and casualty (P&C) and specialty risk division of AXA, has strengthened its Americas Wholesale Solutions team with two strategic appointments: Betsy Higgens as Head of Casualty and Megan Kelley as Head of Product.

These hires align with AXA XL's focus on expanding its Excess & Surplus (E&S) wholesale business across the Americas. Both executives bring extensive industry expertise, with Higgens having over 16 years in the E&S casualty market and a history of driving profitable growth and optimizing underwriting teams. Kelley has a strong record of leading strategic initiatives in excess casualty insurance, including product launches and portfolio management. These leadership enhancements are intended to help AXA XL grow its market presence, develop innovative insurance solutions, and strengthen broker and client relationships in the wholesale segment.

AXA XL leverages a comprehensive capital platform, data analytics, technology, and expert talent to provide tailored insurance and risk management solutions for mid-sized to multinational companies. This move fits within a broader industry trend where insurers are investing in leadership to capitalize on opportunities in the E&S market, which demands specialized underwriting and product innovation due to its complexity. AXA XL’s emphasis on 'Facing into Risk' reflects a proactive approach to risk management that supports business continuity and progress for its clients globally.
