RoofMarketplace Announces $7M Funding and New CEO to Innovate Roofing Claims

RoofMarketplace, a platform focused on modernizing the roofing claims process, has announced the appointment of Scott Holewinski as CEO and the closing of a $7 million Series A funding round led by Wingra Capital. The company aims to streamline property insurance claims by improving claim accuracy, reducing claim cycle times, and providing transparent market pricing. Holewinski, who has over 20 years of experience in technology and risk management, including leadership roles in cybersecurity and insurance solutions, will lead the company's next phase of growth.

The property insurance sector is currently facing challenges including labor shortages, rising material costs, and an increase in severe weather events. These factors strain traditional claims workflows and increase loss adjustment expenses (LAE), which stood at over $149 billion in unpaid reserves by mid-2024 according to NAIC data. RoofMarketplace offers a solution that benefits insurers by enhancing operational efficiency while also supporting homeowners and contractors with transparent processes and reliable service.

The new funding will be used to expand RoofMarketplace’s product capabilities to cover more types of claims, grow its team to meet increasing demand, and strengthen partnerships within the insurance ecosystem. By offering a marketplace where insurers can connect with vetted contractors, the platform seeks to reduce friction in roof repair and replacement services, ultimately delivering improved outcomes for all involved parties.

Under the new leadership and with fresh capital, RoofMarketplace plans to accelerate its development and scalability, aiming to become a significant player in property claims innovation. The company is positioned to address emerging insurance challenges with its technology-driven approach, focusing on accuracy, transparency, and satisfaction across the claims lifecycle.
