Travelers Launches 'Travelers Across America' to Restore Historic Landmarks
The Travelers Companies, Inc. has initiated "Travelers Across America," a nationwide program aimed at restoring and enhancing historic landmarks in partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation. This initiative commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States and highlights Travelers' ongoing commitment to community resilience. The program includes $1 million in grants dedicated to restoring historic sites vulnerable to natural disasters in California, Connecticut, Louisiana, and Minnesota.
These efforts will involve community engagement through on-site events that promote restoration and underscore the importance of insurance access and affordability in sustaining vibrant communities. Beyond grants and restoration, the initiative will feature ongoing programming for Travelers’ employees, agents, brokers, and community members throughout the year.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation, a nonprofit supporting community revitalization through historic preservation, serves as the partner organization, aiding in the maintenance of cultural heritage, economic growth, and community wellbeing via preservation efforts. As a major property casualty insurer, Travelers leverages its resources and civic engagement to support the durability of communities and historic assets amid natural disaster risks and evolving environmental challenges.
