Risk of Ending Enhanced ACA Premium Tax Credits Could Raise Pennsylvania Coverage Costs 82%

Enhanced subsidies that currently make Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance more affordable for nearly 500,000 Pennsylvanians are at risk of ending in December. Without renewal of these premium tax credits, ACA coverage costs could rise by 82% next year. While the House has passed its version of the budget reconciliation bill, Senate committees have yet to include the enhanced premium tax credits, and experts remain uncertain about their renewal prospects.
