Jackson Health System Terminates Employee Over Unauthorized Patient Data Access

Jackson Health System in Miami terminated an employee after unauthorized access to over 2,000 patient records was discovered spanning five years. The individual accessed sensitive patient information including names, birthdates, addresses, medical record numbers, and clinical details from July 2020 to May 2025 to promote a personal healthcare business. All affected patients are being notified as part of the compliance response to this data breach incident.
