Aetna Employees Arrested in $1.1 Million Insurance Fraud Scheme

Two Florida employees of Aetna were arrested for allegedly orchestrating a fraudulent scheme totaling $1.1 million, as reported in a release from Florida CFO Jimmy Patronis. Rochell Green and Breana Ferguson, both familiar with the claims process for various insurance plans, enrolled in hospital, accident, and critical voluntary supplemental plans. From 2019 to 2023, they submitted 42 false claims, supported by fake medical documents and invoices.
