CMS Finalizes 2026 Updates for Medicare Advantage and Part D Programs
In April 2025, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released final updates pertaining to Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D prescription drug benefits for contract year 2026. These updates include finalized annual regulation changes and specific mandates from the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. CMS implemented additional inpatient care protections and clarified provisions related to special supplemental benefits for the chronically ill (SSBCI).
