Ward’s career later took an international turn as he joined Brown & Root in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, handling logistics and supply tasks. Upon returning to Texas, his role with the Operational Test Command at Fort Hood saw him traveling the U.S. extensively until his retirement at age 70.
