HUB International Names Chris Tassone Managing Director of Tax Liability Insurance

HUB International has named Chris Tassone as Managing Director, leading its tax liability insurance and risk capabilities across North America.

This strategic appointment is part of HUB's expansion of its Transactional Risk Practice in the United States and Canada. Tassone will work closely with clients, along with their legal and accounting advisors, to identify potential tax exposures. His role involves developing insurance solutions that transfer these risks to the insurance market, thereby safeguarding clients from unforeseen liabilities. Tassone will report to Sumit Agarwal, Managing Director and Head of Transactional Risk for North America. With over a decade of experience in tax law and advisory, Tassone brings significant expertise, complementing HUB's growth ambitions in transactional risk.

Expanding Transactional Risk Practices

Before joining HUB, Tassone was a partner at Taft Stettinius & Hollister’s Tax practice, where he specialized in mergers, acquisitions, tax controversies, and renewable energy tax credits. His prior experience includes serving as a tax consultant at Ernst & Young, offering insights into credits and incentives. HUB underscores Tassone's dual expertise in tax law and the insurance industry as particularly valuable. As demand for insurance products addressing tax risks in mergers and acquisitions increases, Tassone's appointment is timely. His experience enhances HUB's ability to offer comprehensive risk management and insurance solutions across its extensive network.

The Role of Tax Liability Insurance
