Innovative Accounting Features in Dyad's ALIS DX Platform for the Insurance Industry
Dyad, a leading software provider for the insurance industry, has unveiled advanced accounting features within its ALIS DX platform. These updates aim to enhance efficiency for finance and operations teams by integrating processes typically managed outside the main system, directly into the platform.
Traditionally, MGAs and program administrators used spreadsheets or external tools for complex tasks like splitting payments among transaction parties and reconciling revenue. However, Dyad's latest enhancements now allow these functions to be carried out within ALIS DX, streamlining financial operations.
The platform now supports multi-party payable splitting, extending beyond commission payables to include fee income. This allows roles such as Market Company, Underwriter/Broker, and Agency Association to be designated as payable entities in a single system, reducing the need for manual financial adjustments.
Enhanced Payment Processes and Financial Reporting
Dyad has also integrated electronic ACH/NACHA payments, streamlining disbursements to finance companies and tax entities and reducing manual intervention. The platform’s new features, including a Revenue Recognition Report and GL Budget Management tools, enable finance teams to reconcile financial activities and manage budgets effectively within the system.
Operational efficiency is further boosted with tools like bulk payment upload and Batch Renewal updates, which facilitate large-scale changes in payments or policy renewals. Cross-module invoice notes improve communication between accounting and business management teams.
Improved Security and Future Outlook
To ensure security, Dyad has enhanced role-based permissions, offering greater control over modifications to sensitive financial and administrative settings. Jeff Wargin, Dyad’s Chief Product Officer, emphasized that these updates are designed to reduce manual work for finance and operations teams, allowing them to concentrate on core business activities.
The new capabilities are now available to ALIS DX customers, who should contact their Dyad project manager or support team to activate these features. Dyad remains committed to advancing its solutions, supporting MGAs and program administrators in achieving greater operational efficiency.
