Popular Life Insurance PLC Recognized for Drug Awareness Initiatives

Popular Life Insurance PLC recently garnered top recognition for its outstanding initiatives aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of drug use. These efforts, which included organizing human chains and rallies, were strategically timed to coincide with the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The accolade was conferred during an event hosted by the Department of Narcotics Control at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium.

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, MP, bestowed the award upon B M Yousuf Ali, the Managing Director and CEO of Popular Life Insurance PLC. The ceremony was presided over by Md. Hasan Maruf, Director General of the Department of Narcotics Control, with special attendance by Monzur Murshed Chowdhury, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The event also saw participation from numerous foreign diplomats and senior officials from various government bodies. The presence of Inspector General of Police Md. Ali Hossain Fokir and other law enforcement leaders highlighted the significant social and national commitment to addressing drug-related challenges.
