Mariana Duong-Vázquez Awarded Spencer Educational Foundation Grant

Mariana, who will be a senior at the University of Connecticut, majors in actuarial science and mathematics. She has been awarded a $7,500 scholarship in recognition of her dedication to the insurance and risk management profession and her potential to contribute to a more diverse and equitable industry.

Mariana has actively participated in leadership roles such as Director of Fundraising for the UConn Actuarial Society and Treasurer of the UConn Vietnamese Student Association. She is also an officer in the Organization of Latino Actuaries, exhibiting her dedication to connecting underrepresented students with industry professionals.
