ReSource Pro Acquires Flow Specialty for AI-Driven Insurance Solutions

ReSource Pro has completed the acquisition of technology assets, intellectual property, and the core team from Flow Specialty, a company specializing in artificial intelligence for wholesale insurance brokerage. This acquisition aims to enhance ReSource Pro's offerings in AI-driven solutions and operational automation for the insurance sector.

Joining ReSource Pro following the acquisition is Sivan Iram, co-founder and CEO of Flow Specialty, who will lead the newly established AI Factory—a dedicated unit focusing on developing AI-managed services for insurance clients. Financial specifics of the transaction remain undisclosed.

The deal sees ten Flow Specialty employees, including co-founders Naor Rosenberg and Amit Ben Natan, transition to ReSource Pro. Rosenberg takes on the role of technical lead, while Ben Natan will focus on product development. The integration also includes several members of Flow’s engineering and technology staff.

This strategic move reflects an industry-wide interest in AI technologies that can streamline complex workflows while adhering to regulatory standards. ReSource Pro's approach centers on managed services, blending AI capabilities with human expertise to enhance efficiency and operational outcomes for insurers.

Flow Specialty, established to automate the brokerage processes in specialty insurance using AI, created an agentic AI capable of handling end-to-end quote, bind, and issue processes. In 2024, its AI platform became the first to clear the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) certification, showcasing its proficiency in tasks usually performed by seasoned professionals. The company later pivoted towards AI-based outsourcing, aligning with ReSource Pro’s goals for AI in insurance operations.

Sivan Iram expressed that the acquisition allows ReSource Pro to expand the implementation of Flow’s AI capabilities throughout its operations, positioning the AI Factory to integrate AI for routine tasks while humans focus on strategic decision-making. The AI Factory will underpin ReSource Pro’s strategy for offering agentic services, aimed at enhancing efficiency for carriers, brokers, and agents, while maintaining compliance and quality standards.

Dan Epstein, CEO of ReSource Pro, noted that the track record of Flow’s team in deploying AI effectively within complex insurance workflows is a testament to their expertise, which fits well into ReSource Pro’s vision of integrating AI with human insight for improved client outcomes.

The acquisition underscores a larger industry trend towards practical applications of AI beyond initial pilot programs. Organizations in the insurance sector face challenges in scaling AI solutions, and ReSource Pro’s managed services model aims to facilitate AI adoption without requiring clients to develop these capabilities internally.

ReSource Pro, serving over 3,200 insurance entities, excels in workflow optimization, data, technology services, and transformative operating models, maintaining above a 96% client retention rate over a decade. The company's inclusion on the Inc. 5000 list 16 times highlights its enduring impact in the industry. Incorporating Flow Specialty’s resources will broaden ReSource Pro's AI capabilities, strengthening its position in the advancing insurance technology landscape.
