Coverys Board Appointment: Michael L. Boguski Joins as Director
Coverys, a leader in medical professional liability insurance and healthcare risk management services, has announced Michael L. Boguski's appointment to its Board of Directors. With almost 40 years in the insurance sector and over 25 years of board service, Boguski is well-versed in strategic and financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, capital management, and corporate governance.
Joseph Murphy, president and CEO of Coverys, welcomed Boguski's addition to the board, highlighting his extensive industry leadership and expertise in strategic planning and governance. Boguski’s background is expected to bolster Coverys’ long-term strategic goals within the healthcare sector.
Boguski, who retired from ProAssurance’s Specialty Property & Casualty Division in December 2023, previously oversaw strategies, operations, and cultural initiatives. Throughout his career, he directed around $800 million in insurance-related transactions, including public offerings and mergers. He has held leadership roles at Eastern Insurance Holdings, Inc. and Eastern Alliance Insurance Group, serving on multiple international insurance boards.
Expressing his commitment, Boguski looks forward to contributing to Coverys’ ongoing success and aiding in the navigation of the complex healthcare risk environment. He holds a business management degree from Bloomsburg University and completed the Executive Development & Leadership Program at the Wharton School. A holder of the CPCU designation, Boguski has been recognized for his entrepreneurial prowess and serves on the Executive Committee of the Bloomsburg University Foundation Board.
