Arch Insurance Announces New Leadership to Boost Wholesale Division Growth

Arch Insurance North America, part of Arch Capital Group, has unveiled new leadership appointments targeting its Wholesale division to drive growth in the Excess & Surplus (E&S) market. These changes aim to enhance its specialty insurance offerings amid evolving market dynamics.

A pivotal role, Division President – Wholesale Property & Casualty, has been created with Jason Conkin appointed to lead it. Conkin will spearhead underwriting initiatives to boost the E&S portfolio, focusing on risk management strategies and compliance requirements.

Mike Ward rises to Executive Vice President, Head of E&S Casualty, while Joe Morrello continues as Executive Vice President, Head of E&S Property. Both will align under Conkin, fostering collaboration to strengthen Arch's presence in the E&S insurance sector.

Jared Stacey steps in as Senior Vice President, Head of Wholesale Distribution, reporting to Sue Srinivasan, Executive Vice President, Distribution. Stacey's role is crucial in refining the wholesale distribution strategy, improving coordination with underwriting, and enhancing consistency for trading partners.

Brian First, President of Arch Insurance North America, highlighted the consolidation under Conkin as a testament to internal collaboration. This move underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its E&S business through various market cycles, fully supported by its seasoned leaders ready to embrace these new roles.

With Valerie Turpin, Division President – Property, set to retire on July 1, her departure marks the end of nearly eight years of significant contributions. Arch Insurance intends these leadership changes to fortify their Wholesale capabilities, ensuring sustained growth in a challenging insurance landscape.
