HSBC and Humansa Launch Health and Wealth Ecosystem for High-Net-Worth Clients

Humansa and The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC), alongside HSBC Life (International) Limited, have established a strategic collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create a comprehensive "health and wealth" ecosystem. This initiative aims to cater to high-net-worth clients in Hong Kong and the broader region by integrating advanced healthcare solutions with financial and insurance services, offering a novel approach to managing health and financial well-being.

Brian Hui, Chief Customer Officer of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at HSBC Hong Kong, Daisy Tsang, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Life Hong Kong and Macau, and Don So, Chief Executive Officer of Humansa, are at the helm of this groundbreaking initiative. They aim to redefine healthspan as an essential component of family asset management, especially as longevity science advances, predicting longer lifespans.

Research from institutions like the Stanford Center on Longevity underscores the need for sustaining cognitive and physical performance throughout extended lifetimes. Recent global wealth reports reveal a growing trend among affluent families towards investing in wellness and longevity, with expectations for their financial service providers to support these endeavors.

Humansa brings its clinical and geroscience-based insights into the collaboration, while HSBC contributes its wealth management and insurance expertise, with a strategic focus on positioning Asia as a global wealth hub. This alliance aims to build the necessary infrastructure to manage health as a valuable, long-term asset.

The partnership targets three main pillars: developing "Longevity as an Asset" hubs for HSBC clients that will provide advanced diagnostics and health services from Humansa; integrating health insights with HSBC's wealth and insurance advisory services; and establishing platforms for thought leadership focused on a hundred-year life economy.

Don So emphasized the importance of integrating healthspan management with the sophistication of clients' financial portfolios. Daisy Tsang reiterated the interconnectedness of health, wealth, and protection, highlighting the need for comprehensive solutions as life expectancies rise. Brian Hui stressed the significance of healthspan as a critical asset in wealth planning, aiming to enhance client experiences by aligning longevity expertise with wealth management capabilities.

Humansa is dedicated to extending the human healthspan through preventative healthcare services, established in a hospitality-inspired setting since 2020. Meanwhile, HSBC and HSBC Life continue to offer extensive financial and insurance solutions across Asia, meeting the evolving needs of their clientele.
