Everest Group appointed Lisa Davis to lead its North America Wholesale & Specialty division. Davis will manage underwriting strategy, distribution, and portfolio management. With over 35 years of experience, her past roles at Canopius, Sompo America, Zurich North America, and St. Paul Companies underscore her expertise. Jason Keen, the executive vice president and CEO of Global Wholesale & Specialty at Everest, emphasized Davis’s ability to enhance profitable specialty businesses and broker relationships as crucial for the company’s growth.

Markel has promoted Raphael Da Costa to oversee its U.S. cyber and technology errors and omissions (E&O) portfolio. Da Costa will direct underwriting strategy, portfolio management, and product development, working with underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams to meet changing cyber risk landscapes. His leadership since joining Markel in 2023 has been pivotal in developing U.S. cyber and technology E&O products. Paul Melone, executive underwriting officer for professional liability, highlighted Da Costa’s technical expertise as essential for adapting to evolving cyber threats.

Meanwhile, PEMCO Mutual Insurance appointed Mary Renouf as head of marketing and communications. Renouf’s extensive background in communications and marketing with Providence, Adidas, Xbox, Microsoft, and T-Mobile will drive PEMCO’s community engagement initiatives.
