Rob Bresnahan's Key Role in NEPA Healthcare Sustainment

Rob Bresnahan played a pivotal role in maintaining healthcare services in Northeast Pennsylvania (NEPA) by facilitating a transaction with Tenor Health. This strategic move ensured the continuation of operations at Regional Hospital, Moses Taylor, and Wilkes-Barre General, which are key medical facilities in the area.

State Representative Bridget Kosierowski acknowledged Bresnahan's significant contribution to sustaining emergency services in the region. Bresnahan has demonstrated a commitment to healthcare accessibility and funding by supporting the extension of Affordable Care Act (ACA) premium tax credits, safeguarding health insurance for numerous families in NEPA.

Additionally, Bresnahan actively pursued federal financial support for NEPA healthcare institutions. He requested over $3 million for the Women’s Imaging and Breast Cancer Center at Moses Taylor Hospital, and $1.6 million for MRI equipment at Wayne Memorial Hospital. His efforts secured approximately $193 million for rural healthcare initiatives via the Rural Health Transformation Fund. Furthermore, Bresnahan co-sponsored the PBM Reform Act to increase transparency and regulate pharmacy benefit managers, aiming to curb rising prescription drug costs.
