Criminal Charges Filed Against Advanced Public Adjusters Owner for Insurance Fraud

The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office has initiated criminal charges against Greg A. Micucci, the owner of Advanced Public Adjusters. This follows a comprehensive four-month investigation into alleged insurance fraud and theft. Micucci, 61, based in Bristol, has been accused of misappropriating approximately $140,000 from insurance claim settlements meant for nine homeowners and their contractors.

The investigation began on January 5, 2026, following a complaint from a Warminster resident whose storm-related repair contractors were unpaid. Conducted by Detective John Agnew, the inquiry uncovered that from January 2024, Micucci's firm had managed claims against major insurers including Allstate, Travelers, Progressive, and State Farm.

According to the affidavit, Micucci allegedly instructed insurers to mail checks to his business under the guise of a legal notice, depositing these into a savings account falsely labeled as an "escrow account." However, discrepancies were found with these funds not reaching the homeowners, leaving them unable to afford necessary repairs. Victims include a Warminster homeowner, out $30,000 for tree services, and a Doylestown executor, covering $35,000 in estate repairs without insurance reimbursement.

Micucci faces nine counts each for insurance fraud, theft by deception, deceptive business practices, and fund misappropriation. The charges were further aggravated as two victims were elderly, aged 64 and 81. These charges were officially processed by Magisterial District Judge David J. Chichilitti, marking the second major case related to public adjusters in recent weeks in the region.

Bucks County District Attorney Joe Khan emphasized that homeowners depend on public adjusters for post-disaster recovery, not exploitation of repair funds, especially affecting senior citizens. The District Attorney’s Office encourages other potential victims of Micucci or Advanced Public Adjusters to contact Detective Agnew at 215-348-6344. Deputy District Attorney Alan J. Garabedian will oversee the prosecution, stressing the presumption of innocence until proven guilty in court.
