Alliant Insurance Services has promoted Michael J. Cusack to president of its Property & Casualty division. Peter Arkley, head of Alliant’s national retail brokerage, commended Cusack for his leadership and client-centric approach. Cusack previously led Alliant Specialty, managing 16 industry sectors and expanding specialty operations nationally. With over 35 years of industry experience, Cusack brings extensive expertise in underwriting and brokering complex surety programs to his new role.

Lockton Re reports that new market entrants have added $250 million in additional capacity, although direct premiums have declined to $7.1 billion due to softer market conditions.
