Verisk Transitions Mavera to Enhance Nordic Claims Support

Verisk has announced a strategic brand transition for Mavera, its claims decision support enterprise in the Nordic market. Mavera will now operate under the Verisk name, consolidating its identity with Verisk’s comprehensive suite of global insurance solutions. This change, effective April 1, aims to integrate Mavera's localized claims expertise with Verisk’s extensive data, analytics, and technological capabilities, enhancing its offering within the global insurance framework.

Samer Abou Jaoudé, Managing Director of Verisk Claims Solutions Europe, highlighted that this transition is designed to unify Verisk’s operations and reinforce its commitment to innovation in the claims sector across the Nordic region. The integration seeks to align local expertise with Verisk’s expansive analytics platform, supporting a more interconnected claims processing environment in Europe.

Key leadership changes accompany the rebranding. Johan Larsson, formerly Mavera's Chief Product Officer, has been appointed Managing Director, Verisk Casualty Claims Nordics. He will steer the strategic development and growth of Verisk’s casualty claims product line in the Nordic market. Larsson expressed that this leadership shift would allow Verisk to concentrate on advancing its casualty claims decision support while broadening its reach across the region.

The outgoing CEO of Mavera, Roine Gabrielsson, is set to depart in the coming months. In the interim, he and Larsson are collaborating to facilitate a smooth transition. Verisk has acknowledged Gabrielsson’s role in enhancing its presence within the Nordic insurance market.

Mavera’s Decision Support System (Mavera DSS) remains integral to Verisk’s product suite and will continue to be a pivotal component in managing complex personal injury claims, fortified by Verisk’s global resources. Since its establishment in 2008, Mavera has been a leader in SaaS solutions for the Nordic insurance landscape.
