Mitchell International and Progressive Insurance: Renewed Partnership for Advanced Claims Solutions

Mitchell International has renewed a long-term agreement with Progressive Insurance, allowing the insurer to continue leveraging Mitchell’s comprehensive technology solutions. These solutions are critical for processing collision claims, conducting damage appraisals, valuing total losses, and coordinating with repair shops efficiently.

Gino Banco, Progressive's leader of the physical damage claims process, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, stating, “Mitchell’s open platform has supported our ability to integrate solutions aligned with our claims operations. Over many years, our teams have worked together to support claims handling at scale. We value the relationship and look forward to continued collaboration as we focus on meeting the needs of our customers.”

Continued Collaboration and Technological Advancements

Progressive initially appointed Mitchell as its primary provider of auto physical damage technology in 2010. Since then, the insurer has utilized advanced tools like Mitchell WorkCenter and Mitchell Cloud Estimating for streamlined claim management activities. Notably, Progressive was the first to adopt Mitchell Cloud Estimating TruckMax, a platform enhancing appraisal processes across diverse vehicle types.

Debbie Day, Mitchell’s Executive Vice President and General Manager, remarked on Progressive’s growth and commitment to claims operation investments, reaffirming the value of their partnership. Meanwhile, Mitchell has secured multiple strategic agreements, including a multi-year deal with Gerber Collision & Glass, offering access to advanced estimating technologies. Additionally, Crash Champions enhanced its network capabilities by deploying Mitchell’s workflow optimization software.

Furthermore, Mitchell's parent company, Enlyte, has initiated the acquisition of PartsTrader to integrate it as a wholly owned subsidiary, ensuring operational independence while complementing Mitchell’s Auto Physical Damage division for improved synergy and efficiency.
