YMI Insurance Expands with Strategic Acquisitions in Pennsylvania

An established insurance firm in the Lehigh Valley and Poconos is broadening its operations, marking an expansion that builds on over seven decades of presence. YMI Insurance has announced its acquisition of Robertson Insurance Group in Bethlehem and the Carl H. Myers Agency in Lower Macungie Township, near Allentown. This strategic move aims to strengthen YMI’s foothold in the regional insurance market, enhancing its service offerings and community engagement.

Following these acquisitions, YMI will maintain offices in three strategic locations: Bethlehem at 925 W. Broad Street, Lower Macungie Township at 4800 Hamilton Boulevard, and Stroud Township in Monroe County at 205 Lifeline Rd #101. This geographic expansion is poised to enhance their customer service capabilities while offering a broader range of insurance products.

Doubling Client Base and Workforce

Jimi Honochick, President of YMI, revealed that this expansion will double the company's size and significantly increase its client base fourfold. By retaining all licensed agents from the acquired agencies, YMI boosts its workforce to approximately 27 employees. This aligns with their strategic initiative to emphasize community-driven service amid a competitive market environment.

Honochick highlighted that at a time when many insurance agencies are being acquired by private equity-backed firms, YMI is committed to investing in its community, personnel, and client service. Founded in 1955, YMI offers a comprehensive range of insurance solutions including life, business, personal, and specialized industry insurance, underscoring their commitment to diverse and tailored risk management strategies.
