Tony Mollica Appointed President of Sun Life's Dental Business

Sun Life U.S. has announced Tony Mollica as the new president of its Dental business, including DentaQuest, effective March 30, 2026. Mollica will spearhead the strategic development of Sun Life's Dental division, with a focus on expanding services across Medicaid, Commercial, and Medicare Advantage sectors. He aims to enhance connections with primary stakeholders as part of growth-focused strategies. Mollica succeeds David Healy, who has assumed the role of president for Sun Life U.S.

Mollica will work closely with the Dental leadership team to refine marketing strategies for various insurance products, including vision coverage. He will focus on managing membership, retention, and managed care strategies to optimize quality, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness. According to David Healy, “Tony’s extensive experience in health plan leadership across commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid gives him the expertise required to lead our Dental team effectively.”

Prior to this role, Mollica held senior leadership positions at Humana, including CEO of Independent Care Health Plan, where he was responsible for overseeing market strategies and operations. His experience also includes roles in clinical operations and product leadership at UnitedHealth Group.
