Conduit Holdings Appoints New Non-Executive Directors to Enhance Governance
Conduit Holdings, the parent company of Conduit Re, a leading multi-line reinsurance firm based in Bermuda, has announced the appointment of three seasoned industry professionals as Non-Executive Directors. Effective March 26, 2026, Richard Lightowler, Peter Mullen, and Penny Shaw will join the company's board. Lightowler and Shaw will serve on the Audit and Remuneration Committees, while Mullen will participate in the Remuneration Committee.

Richard Lightowler brings over 30 years of experience in the re/insurance sector. His career includes nearly two decades as a Partner at KPMG Audit Limited in Bermuda, where he served as Head of the Bermuda Insurance Group and was part of the Global Insurance Leadership Team. Currently, Lightowler is a Non-Executive Director of Oakley Capital Investments Limited and Hansa Investment Company Limited, with expertise spanning audit, capital markets, M&A due diligence, and regulatory governance.
With over 40 years in re/insurance and alternative risk management, Peter Mullen has played pivotal roles, including CEO of Artex Risk Solutions and Aon’s Captive and Insurance Management business. As a founder of Artex, he significantly influenced the company’s expansion in alternative risk sectors, overseeing operations across more than 20 jurisdictions. Mullen currently holds a Non-Executive Director role at Artex Risk Solutions and serves on Gallagher Specialty's Executive Committee.
Penny Shaw brings more than 30 years of expertise in the London Market and international re/insurance markets. Her extensive career includes key positions such as Group Chief Risk Officer at Hanover Insurance Group and roles at Hiscox, Chubb European Group, and Chubb Group. Shaw's specialties include actuarial, capital modeling, and risk management disciplines. She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at multiple entities, including AIG UK Limited and Zurich Assurance Ltd.
