Oregon's Housecall Providers Affiliates with Chapters Health System

Oregon's Housecall Providers has announced plans to affiliate with Chapters Health System, aiming to enhance its operations and expand its reach in the state. This strategic alignment, expected to finalize by mid-2026 pending regulatory approvals, aims to bolster Chapters Health System's offerings in home-based care.

According to Andrew Molosky, President and CEO of Chapters Health System, the affiliation seeks to solidify their hospice and home care services amidst a complex industry environment. Molosky stated, “Chapters Health’s goal is to protect and strengthen nonprofit hospice and home-based medical care in the United States by creating sustainable models that allow community organizations to thrive.” He emphasized improved access to critical care services in Oregon as a key benefit of the partnership with Housecall Providers.

Chapters Health System, a prominent nonprofit hospice network established in 1983, is known for its expansive healthcare services, including hospice, PACE programs, and home health care. Their services currently extend across several states including Florida, Georgia, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The health system has also expanded into California, Nevada, and Oregon through recent affiliations.

Rebecca Ramsay, CEO of Housecall Providers, highlighted that the decision to affiliate aligns with a phase of growth and presents an opportunity to extend their care offerings. Housecall Providers, founded in 1995, has a notable presence in hospice and palliative care, as well as home-based primary care, primarily around Portland, Oregon. The organization has broadened its service area significantly over recent years.

The affiliation is set to leverage shared resources and expertise to support the growth and sustainability of Housecall Providers’ service lines. The organization aims to enhance workforce recruitment, care delivery innovations, technology advancements, and overall operational sustainability. Importantly, the affiliation is not expected to interrupt current services.

In a public statement, Ramsay expressed gratitude towards Housecall Providers' parent company, CareOregon, for its role in enabling the organization's recent growth and service expansion. She voiced enthusiasm for the new chapter with Chapters Health System, underscoring a shared commitment to high-quality, compassionate care.
