National Life Group has named Jenora Haynes, a teacher from Westbury High School in Houston, Texas, as the 2025-2026 LifeChanger of the Year grand prize recipient. Selected from over 1,000 nominees nationwide, Haynes will receive a $20,000 award, split equally between herself and her school. She has been instrumental in establishing a DECA chapter, facilitating student development in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.

Recognized by an independent panel of educators, Haynes has previously earned accolades such as the DECA Outstanding Advisor Award and the Above and Beyond Award. A comment from her nomination profile praises her for significantly influencing her students’ lives, fostering discipline and focus that help them achieve their potential. Mehran Assadi, Chairman, CEO, and President of National Life Group, highlighted the company’s commitment to honoring exceptional educators.

Beyond her educational work, Haynes undertakes entrepreneurial endeavors through her business, Incassable Fashion, an online fashion brand. The National Life Group LifeChanger of the Year program, established in 2011, celebrates K-12 educators and employees who demonstrate leadership and positively impact students’ lives. The program will announce additional awards in the coming months, having previously recognized nearly 10,000 educators and allocated close to $1 million in awards.
