Mitch Caster Joins Pinnacle Actuarial as Consulting Actuary
Pinnacle Actuarial Resources has appointed Mitch Caster as a consulting actuary, effective February 2026. In his new role, Caster will lead analyses related to loss reserves for insurance firms and manage projects that address complex regulatory compliance requirements. Additionally, he will conduct funding studies aimed at prospective participants in captive group initiatives and single-parent captive insurance programs, key areas in the industry's evolving risk management strategies.
Caster has a robust professional background in loss cost projections and financial analysis for insurance entities, helping ensure precise underwriting and effective claims management. His expertise covers feasibility evaluations for group captive insurers, which include both traditional insurance lines like workers' compensation and general liability, as well as tailored covers for captives that meet specific regulatory compliance requirements.
Prior to his current appointment, Caster served as an associate actuary at Pinnacle from August 2024 to February 2026, after joining the company in September 2019. He was promoted to senior actuarial analyst in August 2022. His career includes significant experience with State Auto Insurance as a statistical reporting analyst and an internship at Verbarg Risk Management-Allstate, illustrating his deep understanding of both payer and provider perspectives within the insurance industry.
