Transatlantic Underwriters Expands with New P&C Division
Transatlantic Underwriters (TAU), initially established in 1989 as a niche player in the transportation insurance sector, has announced a significant expansion with the launch of a new Property & Casualty (P&C) division. This development introduces multiple new coverage lines including Commercial General Liability, Excess Liability, Commercial Property, Inland Marine, Builders Risk, and Garage. The expansion is aimed at broadening TAU's market reach while continuing to provide specialized services in its core transit-focused domain.
Bernadette Flores, with over two decades of experience in the excess and surplus lines market, has been appointed as the Senior Vice President of the new P&C division. Her extensive knowledge, especially in sectors such as contractors, garage, habitational, and hospitality, is expected to drive the strategic growth of these new lines. This appointment underpins TAU's strategy to combine seasoned leadership with innovative expansion.
Colby Waltenburg, President of TAU, expresses that this expansion is a strategic move aligned with the company’s vision for growth, particularly at a time when the transportation operations are thriving. The new division not only aims to cater to the existing customer base but also seeks to attract new partnerships. This approach promises to strengthen TAU’s commitment to delivering specialized and exceptional service across expanded markets.
